But nelson is in Lancashire county council aswell
When I lived at castle street nelson the council put my life at risk by not putting no handle on my front door when I was living there and they showed no responsibility about health and safety and nelson think they clever to bill me for it when nelson council broke the health and safety laws
We're sorry to hear this, however you would need to raise this with Pendle Council, as this is a housing matter so it would be them who you would have spoken to regarding a housing matter.
That last point about 'remembering always, that you represent the people who voted for you' is incorrect. You also represent those that didn't.
It will make a big difference and it is desperately needed. Shame about the 40 mph limit though and I wonder if it will be very dark at night-time as there are no traffic lights and no ambient due to the remote location. Very grateful that we have the new road though.
The speed limit is based on the road’s design, usage, and the presence of multiple crossings and access points. Additionally, future planned residential developments will make the highway feel more urban. Street lighting has been installed in areas where future developments are planned, specifically near signalised crossings and the roundabout. Elsewhere on the road, street lighting is not currently necessary, and the existing provision minimises light pollution. This decision was made after consulting with third parties, including Blackpool Airport.
A quick question please. Is one’s child (1year old precisely) eligible for this funding if your visa ( the parent) tier 2 states “no recourse to public funds”
Hiya, unfortunately you would not be eligible with a child aged 1 year old. Once it is the tern after the child's 2nd birthday they can apply for a 2-year-old place under 'no recourse to public funds' but it is subject to eligibility based on household income and savings. The application for 'no recourse to public funds' for 2-year-old funding and criteria is on our website: www.lancashire.gov.uk/children-education-families/early-years-childcare-and-family-support/paying-for-childcare/funded-childcare-for-2-year-olds/?page=9.
My wife and I were in car number eight waiting to go the other way!
That was very pleasant but very sort drive next time longer ride please 🙏
i live right round the corner this will be great
That cycleway looks pretty useful although it's a shame it disappears right at a complicated junction. For it to become well-used, that roundabout needs safer crossing points.
That cycle way is worse than useless. It doesn't comply with LTN1/20 standards, doesn't use raised crossing to reinforce to drivers that they do not have right of way under the Highway Code, gives continued priority to cars, and needlessly crosses the road at several points. Why on earth do these engineers design them like this? It's almost like they haven't been on a bike since they were a child. They'd never design the road to be so windy and have so many needless junctions. They need to read the guidance on how to design and build proper protected active travel infrastructure.
@@BenFurfie bro shut up and be greatful some people don’t even have roads to drive on
:)
The video suggests that the council dig out the edges of the pothole, preparing it for filling, and once filled, seal the edges. This is NOT happening! The council has resorted to cheap and nasty repairs and just tip tarmac into an unprepared hole and don’t seal the edges. These repairs are a total waste of council tax payers money and don’t last. I have personally witnessed a pothole being fixed on one day and the following day the pothole is back even larger and more dangerous than before. 😡
We’ll update from me a local… the result was not worth it! Instead it’s been an absolute shit show from start to finish with the work that’s been done already showing signs of falling apart!!
No disrespect BUT what’s Extra £5 million going to do for would of Lancashire i think we need about £500 million in my Preston some road are awful even near town centre Not to forget Garstang Rd.
How about right to roam
Not much of this going on these days
Well you are not working hard enough, the roads are crap and dangerous for motorcyclists, in fact a Ukraine mine field is in better condition than most of your roads
Good for you, I got some blue buttons on my shirt
And you can log on from the beach, just so you can relax while "working"
Fantastic
Shivers down my spine!
Hi... how are you ? I'm from Namibia looking for help because I can look after myself and my family. If ther anyone avail or interested let me know
Shoddy workmanship of the roads.
Hat off too you, at least your making a positive impact on dealing with potholes, unfortunately other parts of the UK have a more lax approach to this, hence craters not pot holes
Preston have been awarded 20 milliion from the levelling up fund and 10 million of it is paying for preston north ends new youth academy!!! What a joke and its all so dodgu labour councilliors can line their own poxkets x
i know damn well you ain't fixing the potholes
2024
Government telling the public to report potholes is akin to supermarkets telling customers to stack the shelves. The government should be sending someone out in the local area to document ALL potholes along ALL roads, then sorting out the bureaucracy without public intervention. Any other way of doing it doesn't work, because most of the public are expecting the government to do it all for them as we pay for those services, just as we expect supermarkets to stack their own shelves. Pay money; receive service. Government incompetence needs calling out so it can be changed for the better.
An historic town, modernised. When history is one of the main draws, that doesn't sound wise council to me (sounds alot like a cash grab actually, but hey, I'm sure the wealthy will do well as always).
Any woman who would dare put a cig to her lips knowing there's a baby in her womb is truly the epitome/definition of a "narcissist."
Beautiful.
Sandbags dont actually help..just letting you know!
"Promosm" 😜
The only reason you ask people to admit and accept mental health is so you can steal their children after all is about the main reason parents lose their children because social services say they have mental health problems
Fab idea ... cycling is accessible for all but unfortunately too expensive if you can't ride a normal bike. Would love to see support to help finance adapted bikes for those in need so this activity can be enjoyed by everyone.
Aww how lovely!
I was told the live final event will be open to audiences in Preston in October but I cannot find any information about the date/time/location online. Can you help?
In English the line “I am coming Lord” does not convey the same meaning as in Welsh “ Arglwydd, Dyma fi ar Dy alwad di“ which translates “ Lord I am here at your call” which suggests a giving into His Eternal grace a soul for an eternal service. I enjoyed singing this at first tenor back row two in.
Beautifully clean beginnings and endings of phrases and a lovely tone. Well done.
Well done. Just a few minutes skilful child focused constructive story-telling gets the message across - even if parents don't join in, they get the point. Publicising like this is at least as more important as developing the early support services themselves: part of the broad change of our wrold-wide wait-until-too-late culture.
Why? Is this so good
(Sike)
Yes it’s good 😂 (NO)
